Dear Con Brio friends & family:

It’s been so nice to see many of you as we’ve begun to play live shows again. We wanted to send out an update from Con Brio HQ. After eight years with Ziek McCarter, he and the band have decided to part ways. We have nothing but love and respect for each other and appreciation for our time together, and we’ll continue to wholeheartedly support his projects, including his family’s important work with the Long Live Love Foundation.

We’re so excited to introduce our new singer, Sarah Clarke, a phenomenally talented vocalist and longtime friend of Con Brio from Portland, Oregon, where she’s known for her dynamic stage presence and stunning vocal range. Anyone who’s seen her other projects — including Dirty Revival and Outer Orbit — knows exactly what we’re talking about.

And after five years with the great Patrick Glynn on keys, he’s made the tough decision to move on to warmer weather and other creative projects in Southern California. While we celebrate his many contributions to the band, we’re also thrilled to introduce our new keyboardist AJ McKinley, a multi-talented multi-instrumentalist and all-around force of nature who may be familiar to Bay Area music fans from his work with Battlehooch, Suzanimal and Kendra McKinley.

Since our founding in 2009, Con Brio has always functioned as a perpetually evolving collective. Things change; people change. As Marcus likes to say: “Hands up on the rollercoaster.” The constants are our shared passion for performing, our belief in the power of music and our commitment to our community and each other.

We’re truly so excited for this next chapter and we can’t wait to share what we’ve been working on. To that end, here’s a song we made about change. It was written by Andrew, arranged by the band and recorded by Jonathan, all in our brand-new studio that we built together in the summer of 2021.

So please enjoy “Seasons.” Thanks for coming along for the ride. Hands up on the rollercoaster.
